1. Agreement to the terms
These Terms of Use ("Terms") form an agreement between you and Robert Blair ("we," "us," or "our"), the provider of SteadKeep. By downloading or using SteadKeep, you agree to these Terms. Your use of the app is also subject to Apple's App Store Terms of Service and the Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Apple Standard EULA"). If these Terms conflict with the Apple Standard EULA for an app you obtained from the App Store, the Apple Standard EULA governs to the extent of that conflict.
2. License to use SteadKeep
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use SteadKeep on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial use, in accordance with these Terms and the Apple Standard EULA. You may not sell, redistribute, or sublicense the app.
3. Eligibility
You must be able to form a binding contract to accept these Terms. If you are a minor in your country of residence, you may use SteadKeep only with the involvement and consent of a parent or guardian. SteadKeep is offered for a general audience consistent with its App Store age rating.
4. Premium purchases
SteadKeep is free to use with its core features. Premium is one optional, non-consumable in-app purchase that permanently unlocks additional features for the purchasing Apple Account. Apple processes billing, refunds, and purchase restoration under your App Store terms. We do not process payments or receive your payment details. Prices are shown in the App Store and may vary by region.
Premium unlocks: unlimited habits (the free tier includes up to three), all six companion personalities, Grace Days, full statistics, all color themes, custom photo habit icons, additional encouragement notifications, and the medium home-screen widget.
5. Acceptable use
You agree to use SteadKeep lawfully and not to: (a) use it in violation of any applicable law; (b) attempt to disrupt, damage, or interfere with the app or the Apple services it relies on; or (c) reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive source code, except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by applicable law. These restrictions apply only as far as the law of your region permits.
6. Changes and availability
SteadKeep is under active development; features may be added, changed, or removed over time. The app depends on Apple services (including iOS, iCloud, notifications, and StoreKit), and its availability may be affected by those services or by your device. Where a change would materially reduce Premium functionality you have already purchased, we will make reasonable efforts to preserve the value of your purchase, consistent with applicable law and Apple's policies.
7. Health and general disclaimers
SteadKeep is a general productivity and habit-tracking tool. It is not medical, mental-health, fitness, or professional advice, and it is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition. Use your own judgment, and consult a qualified professional for such matters.
8. Warranty and limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SteadKeep is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that data will never be lost, and you are responsible for keeping your own backups (for example, through iCloud).
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Robert Blair will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of SteadKeep.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any rights you have that cannot be excluded or limited under the mandatory law of your country of residence, including statutory consumer-protection rights under EU and French law. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions or liability limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
9. Termination
Your license continues until terminated. It ends automatically if you materially breach these Terms, and you may end it at any time by deleting the app. On termination, the license granted to you ends; provisions that by their nature should survive (such as disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law) survive. Your locally stored and iCloud-synced data remains under your control and is not affected by termination except as you choose to delete it.
10. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of France, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. If you are a consumer, you also keep the benefit of any mandatory protections of the law of the country where you reside, and nothing in these Terms deprives you of those rights.
Apple's App Store terms and the Apple Standard EULA also govern downloads and purchases. Questions about billing or refunds should be directed to Apple. For anything else, contact us first at support@steadkeep.app so we can try to resolve it. EU consumers may also be entitled to use a consumer-mediation or dispute-resolution scheme available in their country of residence.
